BRICON Contracting Corporation is a Kitchener-based general contractor serving homeowners across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and the surrounding region. With over 75 years of combined experience in residential and commercial renovation, we bring the knowledge of a large firm and the care of a family business to every project we take on.
Founded in 2002 by Brian Walls, BRICON has built its reputation one project at a time — through word of mouth, through neighbours calling neighbours, through homeowners who drove by a job site, liked what they saw, and picked up the phone. We don’t advertise results we can’t deliver. We let the work speak.
From full home additions and second storey builds to kitchen renovations, bathroom transformations, and exterior facelifts — there is no project we haven’t seen and no challenge we haven’t taken on. At BRICON, the answer is never can’t. It’s how.
Brian Walls – Founder & Owner
Brian started his career fresh out of high school in 1980, having enrolled in architectural design at Conestoga College — until the recession hit and architectural design grads were struggling to find work. A self-starter, Brian pivoted to the contracting field instead and never looked back.
He spent the next 20 years at Chicopee Craftsman, working his way up from general labour carpenter to running crews. By the time he’d reached the ceiling of what was possible there, he knew exactly what he wanted to build next. In 2002, Brian founded BRICON Contracting Corporation.
Twenty-four years later, he still meets every client himself. He still goes to every job site regularly. He still reviews every estimate looking for a better price for his customer. And he still feels the same thing at the end of every project — what he calls “the pat on the back.” That moment when a homeowner walks through their finished space and the look on their face tells you everything.
“I love meeting people,” Brian says. “It’s not just about getting a job — it’s about creating friendships and relationships. I have a real passion for what I do.”
Brian brings 45 years of hands-on experience to every project — including a design background that lets him see possibilities in a space that most homeowners never imagined. He personally handles the initial consultation, the site drawings, and the design process, staying involved from the first meeting to the final walkthrough.

Nancy Hoodless – Office Manager & Client Coordinator
Every BRICON project begins with a conversation — and Nancy Hoodless is the voice that starts it. In her five years with BRICON, Nancy has become the calm, organized centre of every project’s early stages — the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks between the moment you first call and the moment construction begins.
Nancy handles every incoming call, gathers project details, answers questions, and guides you through the next steps with clarity and care. She coordinates the initial consultation, manages scheduling, processes project start-up documentation, and keeps communication flowing between you and the team throughout.
“My goal is always to make sure clients feel supported, informed, and confident that their project is being handled professionally from day one” Nancy says.
With a 45% repeat customer rate, it’s clear that feeling stays well beyond the first phone call.
Bryan Klomp – Construction Manager
Bryan Klomp has been building things his entire career, and he’s never settled for good enough. A Red Seal Certified General Carpenter who has spent over two decades in the trades, Bryan ran his own renovation company for 12 years before joining BRICON in February 2021. When the opportunity came to interview with Brian Walls, Bryan says the choice was easy.
As BRICON’s Construction Manager, Bryan is the person you’ll see most on site — coordinating trades, managing the build schedule, and making sure every phase of your renovation is executed to the BRICON standard. He communicates constantly with homeowners, sub-trades, building departments, and the design team, ensuring no question goes unanswered and no detail goes unnoticed.
“I push our team to constantly do better and never settle for ‘good enough’ — it’s either right or it’s not,” Bryan says. “I bring compassion and understanding too. I’ve been in the thick of it many times and can relate to the grind a project can bring. We are in this together.”
For Bryan, the true joy comes at the end — handing the finished home back to the client, knowing the whole team did something they’re proud of.
Olayemi Adesina – Project Estimator & Coordinator
Between Brian’s initial design and the moment, a project breaks ground, Olayemi Adesina makes sure the numbers are right. Holding a Bachelor of Technology in Architecture and a Distinction in Construction Management — and currently completing her CAPM certification — Olayemi brings an unusually strong academic and practical foundation to the estimating process.
Working closely with Brian, Olayemi builds detailed, accurate project budgets from the ground up — reviewing scope and drawings, obtaining pricing from trusted suppliers and sub-trades, and identifying opportunities to deliver better value without compromising quality. Every estimate goes through a collaborative internal review before it reaches the client.
“Pricing is more than numbers on a page,” Olayemi says. “It’s a reflection of the planning, coordination, craftsmanship, and commitment required to bring our clients’ vision to life. We want clients to feel confident they are making an informed investment in their home.“
Olayemi joined BRICON drawn by the opportunity to grow in a collaborative environment. What she loves most about the role is helping turn ideas and plans into realistic budgets that support informed decision-making — and watching those budgets become finished spaces clients are proud to call home.

Every project we manage is fully permitted and inspected — we file for permits, coordinate engineering and stamped drawings, and manage plumbing, electrical, and building inspections from start to finish. We are a turnkey operation. You don’t have to coordinate any of it.

When a renovation involves removing perfectly good kitchen cabinets, countertops, or fixtures, BRICON doesn’t send them to the landfill. We call Habitat for Humanity. If they can use it, their team comes out, removes it, and gives it a second life in a home that needs it. It’s a small thing — but it’s the right thing.
